BabaTap is not a medical home care provider, and BabaTap Pros do not replace nurses, physicians, personal support workers, health care aides, or other regulated professionals. The purpose of BabaTap is to provide senior-friendly companion services and practical non-medical support within clearly defined boundaries. This may include conversation, meal preparation, light housekeeping, technology assistance, recreational activities, community outings, grocery shopping, routine support, and Family Visit Reports.
Each plan is available in different visit quantities so families can choose the level of support that fits their needs. An Essential level includes four visits and provides a five percent discount compared with booking the same visits individually. A Plus level includes eight visits and provides an eight percent discount. A Complete level includes twelve visits and provides a ten percent discount. Families can also choose the duration of each visit, with available options ranging from two to eight hours.
BabaTap AI Matching can help identify a suitable BabaTap Pro based on factors such as location, availability, supported services, language, cultural background, personality, interests, transportation capabilities, and the specific preferences of the senior. When possible, BabaTap will assign the same Pro for recurring visits so the senior can see a familiar person and develop greater comfort and trust over time.
The plans also include the option for family communication through a Family Visit Report. With the senior’s consent, this report can provide a helpful summary of the visit, including the activities completed, the senior’s general mood, practical support provided, and any non-medical matter the family may wish to know about. This is especially helpful when adult children live in another city, province, or country and cannot personally attend every visit.

These moments may appear simple, but consistent human connection can make an important difference in how a person experiences the day.
The plan is not based on forcing seniors into a predetermined schedule. Instead, each visit can reflect the senior’s personality, interests, energy level, traditions, language, and preferences. One senior may enjoy a quiet conversation over tea, while another may prefer gardening, puzzles, crafts, cooking, or a walk through the neighbourhood. BabaTap aims to match the senior with a Pro who can engage respectfully and naturally.
Practical home support can also be incorporated into the visit. A BabaTap Pro may help prepare a simple meal, wash the dishes used during the visit, wipe kitchen counters, take out household garbage, fold laundry, change bed linens, organize frequently used items, or tidy the senior’s immediate living area. These services are classified as light housekeeping and are intended to support the senior’s comfort and routine.
The Home Companion Plan is not a deep-cleaning service. BabaTap Pros are not expected to move heavy furniture, clean exterior windows, climb ladders, perform major bathroom cleaning, remove snow, complete yard work, handle hazardous materials, or undertake tasks that require professional cleaning equipment. Clearly defining this boundary protects the senior, the family, and the BabaTap Pro while keeping each visit focused on companionship and light home support.
Meal preparation can be another valuable part of a home visit. Depending on the senior’s preferences and the ingredients available, the BabaTap Pro may prepare a simple breakfast, sandwich, soup, salad, snack, or familiar home-style meal. The Pro can also help organize groceries, check whether common food items are available, and inform the family when basic supplies appear to be running low. BabaTap Pros do not prescribe diets or make medical nutrition decisions, but they can follow reasonable written instructions provided by the senior or family.

The Home Companion Plan can include walks and gentle recreational activities appropriate to the senior’s preferences and abilities. These are companion activities and are not physiotherapy, rehabilitation, or prescribed exercise.
At the end of the visit, the BabaTap Pro can complete a Family Visit Report when requested and authorized. The report allows the family to understand how the visit went without disrupting the senior’s independence or privacy. It can confirm that the visit took place, describe the activities completed, summarize the practical assistance provided, and identify ordinary matters requiring family attention.
The Home Companion Plan is an excellent choice for families seeking regular, dependable contact rather than occasional emergency assistance. It transforms companionship into a planned routine and helps seniors know when their next visit will take place. By choosing four, eight, or twelve visits, families can create a schedule that may be weekly, twice weekly, three times weekly, every two weeks, monthly, or customized around the senior’s circumstances.
BabaTap Out & About Companion Plan
The BabaTap Out & About Companion Plan is designed for seniors who want to continue participating in life beyond their residence but may not feel comfortable going out alone. Transportation may bring a senior to a destination, but companionship provides something more: a trusted person who stays with the senior, helps navigate the outing, and returns home with them when the activity is complete.
This plan may be used for grocery shopping, pharmacy visits, banking, personal errands, shopping centres, libraries, community events, places of worship, social clubs, restaurants, cafés, visits with friends, or other approved non-medical destinations. The goal is to help seniors remain involved in their communities and continue enjoying ordinary activities that bring purpose and variety to their lives.
A BabaTap Pro can meet the senior at their residence, confirm the outing plan, accompany them to the selected destination, remain with them during the activity, and assist with manageable everyday tasks. During a grocery trip, for example, the Pro may help the senior locate items, read ordinary product labels, carry reasonable grocery bags, and organize purchases upon returning home. During a community activity, the Pro may stay nearby, provide conversation, and help the senior feel more comfortable in an unfamiliar or busy environment.
Community transportation may be included when the assigned BabaTap Pro has been approved to provide transportation and has a suitable vehicle, valid licensing, appropriate insurance, and the required information on file. Transportation is subject to availability and is priced according to the estimated distance. Any applicable parking charges, admission costs, purchases, meals, or other third-party expenses remain separate unless BabaTap confirms otherwise.
Not every BabaTap Pro provides transportation. If a matched Pro does not have an approved vehicle, BabaTap may help coordinate an alternative or determine whether the outing can be supported in another appropriate way. Families should provide accurate information about mobility devices, vehicle accessibility requirements, and the level of assistance required before confirming the plan.
The Out & About Companion Plan is intended for community activities and everyday errands. Transportation to medical appointments, hospital discharge, dialysis, chemotherapy, radiation, diagnostic testing, and other healthcare-related destinations should continue to be arranged through RideSenior. This distinction allows BabaTap to remain focused on social and practical community outings while RideSenior handles specialized senior medical transportation.
This plan may be especially valuable for seniors who have gradually stopped leaving home because family members are unavailable, public transportation feels difficult, or ordinary outings have become stressful. A recurring plan can give the senior something to anticipate, whether that is a weekly grocery trip, a regular visit to a place of worship, lunch at a favourite restaurant, or participation in a community program.
The value of the plan is not limited to transportation. A standard ride normally ends when the passenger reaches the destination. A BabaTap companion remains present for the scheduled service time. The senior therefore has support throughout the activity rather than only during the journey.
Families can select the expected duration of each outing when building the plan. A two-hour visit may be suitable for a nearby grocery or pharmacy trip, while a longer visit may be appropriate for shopping, a social event, a meal, or several errands. The system calculates the recurring plan price using the selected duration, the applicable hourly rate, the estimated transportation distance, the number of visits, the discount level, and the applicable provincial taxes.

BabaTap Pros will not disclose unnecessary personal details, but the report can provide reassurance that the senior completed the planned outing and returned home.
The Out & About Companion Plan supports independence by making it easier for seniors to remain connected with the places, routines, and people that matter to them. It recognizes that aging independently is not simply about remaining inside one’s home. Independence also means continuing to participate in community life with appropriate, respectful support.
BabaTap Family Relief Plan
The BabaTap Family Relief Plan is designed for the millions of family members who provide ongoing support to an aging parent, spouse, relative, neighbour, or friend. Family caregiving is meaningful, but it can also require significant time, energy, coordination, and emotional attention. Even the most dedicated caregiver occasionally needs time to work, rest, attend appointments, care for children, complete errands, or simply recover from a demanding schedule.
This plan allows a verified BabaTap Pro to spend scheduled time with the senior while the primary family caregiver is unavailable. The service does not replace medical care, personal care, professional supervision, or emergency assistance. It provides companionship and approved practical support within the non-medical scope of BabaTap.
During a Family Relief visit, the BabaTap Pro may talk with the senior, prepare a simple meal, complete light housekeeping, participate in recreational activities, assist with basic technology, go for a walk, help maintain a familiar routine, or provide calm and respectful company. The family can describe the senior’s normal routine and preferred activities before the first visit so the Pro understands what makes the senior feel comfortable.
Consistency is particularly important in family relief services. Meeting a new person during every visit can be uncomfortable for some older adults. BabaTap therefore aims to assign the same Pro whenever scheduling and availability permit. A familiar companion can learn the senior’s preferred conversation topics, favourite activities, household routine, cultural practices, language, and communication style.
The plan can be helpful for adult children balancing employment and caregiving responsibilities. It can also support an older spouse who needs regular time to rest or attend to personal health needs. BabaTap Pros do not administer medication, perform medical procedures, provide injections, change wound dressings, lift or transfer individuals who require professional assistance, provide bathing or toileting care, manage aggressive behaviour, or replace qualified dementia, nursing, or personal care professionals.
Families should disclose relevant mobility, communication, behavioural, or safety concerns during the booking process. If a senior requires services outside BabaTap’s scope, the family may need to arrange a qualified healthcare or personal care provider. Honest information allows BabaTap to protect everyone involved and determine whether companion support can be provided appropriately.
For seniors experiencing mild memory changes, a consistent BabaTap Pro may be able to support familiar activities and provide calm companionship, provided the situation remains suitable for non-medical service. However, BabaTap does not describe this plan as specialized dementia care unless the assigned provider holds appropriate qualifications and BabaTap has expressly confirmed the service.
The Family Visit Report gives the primary caregiver a practical update after returning. It may describe the senior’s general mood, activities completed, meal support provided, and ordinary matters requiring follow-up. This communication can help families coordinate responsibilities and feel more connected without requiring constant calls during the visit.
Transportation may be added to a Family Relief Plan when the senior would like to complete an approved community outing and an approved BabaTap Pro with transportation capability is available. It is not automatically included in every Family Relief visit. Medical transportation remains available separately through RideSenior.
The Family Relief Plan is ultimately about supporting both sides of the caregiving relationship. Seniors receive respectful companionship and practical assistance, while family caregivers receive dependable time to address their own responsibilities. Taking a scheduled break does not mean that a family member is less committed. Regular relief can help make family caregiving more sustainable and organized.
